Most summers, I am working in the middle of France (in the Bordeaux region). Anyway, this means that I'm visiting tiny little towns which are home to some really nice little restaurants! Duck and wine are the order of the day... however, there is always great food to be eaten, whatever your preference!
However, all these tiny little towns means that it can be quite hard to find their internet prescence. So, I've done the best I can with this one... it is a little newsagent/creperie/restaurant... it is a bizarre mix... but it does serve up some really nice food!
Please note: The SteemitWorldMap has the exact location, there really isn't an address that I can put into the other map! Just the town location!

The Space
From the outside... you might think that it is just a newsagent! However, if you walk in, it becomes quickly apparent that it is a place for eating and drinking as well!
Well.. the big "Plat du Jour" sign on the door also gives one a hint that there might be something satisfying in there as well!
So, just to the right of the newsagent... you see this! Definitely a place for eating... however, it is a pretty small and cramped area... but it is really quite nice and cosy! Just don't expect there to be always seats...
There is a nice outside eating area in the front as well, when the weather is good.

The Menu
Hah... there are no paper menus here! Everything is written on a chalkboard, which is taken from table to table as needed!
The main event here is the savourty crepes, which are really great (I had them the last time I was here), however, there are also more hearty meals for those who are more interested in that. Likewise, there is a nice selection of desserts as well.
I like this sort of menu, concise and with not too much choice.

The Food
This time I was in the mood for something a bit more hearty (although, the crepes are pretty filling anyway). So, duck it was for me (Magret de Canard, with veggies and a potato gratin).
It was perfect, simply presented but just so tasty! The duck was perfectly cooked (sometimes, it can be a bit tough...), and the accompaniments were just as simple but tasty.
Hey... if you aren't paying for dinner, then you HAVE to order dessert! I love my Rice Cream (sweet rice...), and this was no exception. Sweet rice with Vanilla and a bottom of custardy sweet condesnsed milk! YUM!

The Experience
I love this place... it serves up simply made food which is just tasty. No pretence or anything, simple and good.
It is in an area of France which is a touch out of the way of the normal areas... however, this particular town does see a vast influx of Dutch and English during the summer months. So, these sort of little restaurants are well frequented during the summer (and practically dead or closed in the colder months.)

Opening Times
To be honest, it is pretty lax in these places. In the winter, mostly the restaurant will be closed. However, in the summer it tends to be open in the afternoon through to late. Much really depends on the whim of the owner... so, you are best dropping in and asking!
It appears that this restaurant is open from 1600 in the Summer months, and dinner begins from 1800.
