Photo editor applications are really easy to use and can be a lot of fun. When I'm inspired by a photo I've taken, I like to mess around with it and see if i can come up with something more interesting. I use Photo Splash (to remove/add colour from the original image) and Snapseed (to alter the effects like contrast, brightness etc) on the iphone.
Anyway, here's a selection from my edited album. I appreciate that they are generally highly amateurish but I hope you enjoy them and feel inspired to edit your own!
Cornwall, UK
I love the North Cornish coast of Cornwall. It is rugged, with stunning beaches, surrounded by farmland and countryside. Inspirational for sure.....especially if the weather is good, which it generally isn't :)
Bristol, UK
Living in Bristol is like permanently being on holiday.
Java, Indonesia
Indonesia was a very interesting place to visit. Each of the islands have their own, very unique character. The 3rd and 4th photos were taken in area which had fairly recently experienced a volcanic eruption. A graffiti artist had painted in several places among the ruins of one of the villages. He wanted to bring awareness and raise money for the surviving families. We had been encouraged to visit the area so that we could donate to the people but I felt very out of place. It was a sorrowful and oppressive experience. It was not lost on me that unlike the poor people with no choice but salvage what they could on the very slopes of the mountain that had ruined them......I could so easily walk away to somewhere more comfortable.

A stag in a baywatch outfit doing a gladiator on his way to Elysium...... It was a fun few days.
