I haven't completed the script for Rose - Part 2, and it's entirely possible I never will :). I don't know if anyone has yet read Rose but I thought, just in case you have and enjoyed it, here is the Hook and Synopsis for the continuation of the adventure so far.....
I also intend to post two extracts for Part 2 shortly. They will hopefully show Sam's desperate situation and go a little deeper into the child Mort.
Hook
Dr Richards has lead Rose to a secluded farmhouse, a very long way from Ravensdown.
Not long after reaching their new home, Rose becomes obsessed with three things; destroying the mind of Sam Emery, resurrecting Tom and Miranda Foster and producing a child from the union of Martha Smith and Ted Pickle(who now inhabit the bodies of Isabel and David Emery.
Rose's psychic abilities have grown considerably and she is able to reach out and force Sam to endure never-ending nightmares, horrific visions and waking dreams. This unrelenting assault begins to unravel Sam's mind. With the help of his friends and saviours, Robert Walker and Alex Alderney, he decides to find Rose and kill her, or die trying.
Under the influence of an ancient consciousness from another realm, Rose further perverts the natural order of the universe by forcing Martha and Ted to produce the strange child named Mort.
Mort is the progeny of those who have died, returned from The Void and violently stolen the bodies they use. He is far more than a deformed child and the consequences of Rose's perversions, along with the implacable will behind them are revealed. Who will survive as the very fabric of time and space is warped and weakened?
Synopsis
Rosemary Shivers has been resurrected. Despite her devastating attempt to wipe out the Emery family and bring her accomplices back from The Void, the courage and determination of Robert Walker and Alex Alderney managed, in the end, to thwart her. They saved Sam, but not for long…….
After leaving Ravensdown, Dr Richards takes Rose many miles away to her new home, a very secluded farmhouse surrounded by a great forest. He had procured the farmhouse and land many months before Rose’s death. Not long after settling in, Rose becomes obsessed with three things, the destruction of Sam Emery, resurrecting Tom and Miranda Foster and making a child.
Her mental abilities continue to grow and she begins to influence Sam’s dreams, trapping him in cyclical nightmares, sending him visions and causing him waking hallucinations. His mind starts to unravel as it recoils from the trauma of the visions and struggles to comprehend what’s real and what isn’t.
With the help of Dr Richards, Rose finds hosts for Tom and Miranda. Unfortunately, their release from The Void is too late. They’re captured and ravaged by others in The Void seeking the means of escape. Tom is finally brought back into the body of a huge man, but he is mute and only interested in reshaping the human form into grotesque, bloody sculptures. Miranda’s host body suffers a kind of rejection and parts of her body begin rotting off. Long after her consciousness should have returned to The Void, the dead body continues to trap her, driving her completely insane, leaving only a mindless fury.
Rose’s final obsession, the desire to have a child, is not her own. An ancient alien consciousness, trapped in a place akin to The Void has been manipulating Rose from the beginning. In order to make her child, Rose forces Martha and Ted to copulate until Martha becomes pregnant. After nine months, Mort is born. He is deformed, the progeny of the dead and simply intended to be a vessel for the alien psyche. The bed of his birth becomes the centre of a rift in the fabric of reality and the unimaginable consequences for Rose’s perversions become terribly clear.
After fighting Rose’s influence for as long as he can, Sam is finally losing his mind. With the help of Robert and Alex, he decides to fight back. Using his connection with Rose he is able to locate her and decides he must kill her or die trying. As they get closer to Rose, they discover that their problems are infinitely bigger than they could ever have imagined.
