Hello friends!
I am writing to you from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, at the end of the first day of tour for my folk duo, Radnor & Lee.

This is a particularly interesting tour as my bandmate Josh Radnor was in the tv show "How I Met Your Mother" and is a huge star in South America. So along with sharing our music and exploring Brazil, we are also dealing with a fair amount of good-natured hysteria by HIMYM fans! :)
We have a lovely promoter tour manager named Eliel, who shockingly had never been told he resembled American film director Kevin Smith.
This morning he took us out to Mercado Central, the Central Market, which since 1940 has housed hundreds of stalls, grocers, bars and even pet stores.
Josh got stopped a lot on our outing - but most people were really sweet. His show really seemed to touch young people in quite a profound way. I think if you were a sensitive guy or girl longing for love last millennia, HIMYM seems to have been the show you put on for comfort and familiarity, the way my generation enjoyed Seinfeld.
Worked out at the hotel and rested, then headed to the venue for soundcheck and was blown away to see so many fans lined up early for the gig!
Many natural "first day of tour" problems....
Tour tshirts printed with the wrong month on them!
And guitars whose batteries couldn't stay charged....
After soundcheck had a quick super heavy dinner of "Cheese Bread" - a local delicacy - but I was ready to sleep rather than perform after this...
But then we came out on stage to this...and I was AWAKE again!
Awesome gig. Thank you Belo Horizonte and can't wait to explore Curitiba tomorrow!
