Hello everyone, you're welcome to my blog.
Well, yes, there are a lot of things that I do that I would question myself about. Sometimes I ask myself, is it bad or is it good? Am I overdoing this? I am somebody who is addicted to always being on my phone. Most of the time, I am always on my phone. I always like wearing earbuds; it has gotten to the point that sometimes my ear hurts because I wear earbuds for a long time. It has become like a second companion to me.
My first time using earbuds was when my sister was in the hospital. That was when I got my first earbuds because I love listening to music or watching videos on YouTube, more likely scrolling through TikTok and randomly watching other people's videos. Like I said earlier, always being on my earbuds is something that I know is actually bad for my hearing, but I continue doing it. I've tried to stop; a lot of people complain about it, but it makes me feel like I'm in a whole different world, just the world of my own, with nobody else—just me and my thoughts, listening to whatever comes to mind.
Now let's get down to YouTube. I love being on YouTube; I can be on YouTube all day long. I have a lot of things that keep me engaged on YouTube. I don't watch movies on YouTube, but I watch comedy, short reels, scary cartoons, bedtime stories, and folklore. I also engage with mountain Zion movies, Christian movies, and I do a lot of learning on YouTube, like cooking videos and DIY hacks. But as a young girl trying to put her life together, buying data all the time is something I do not want to do. The fact that I'm always on YouTube can be really draining; it literally keeps me on my earbuds all day long. Sometimes I even have to subscribe to YouTube Premium so that anytime I carry my phone to do something else, I have a video playing in the background, allowing me to listen to something alongside anything else I'm doing with my phone. That is one thing that is good at the same time, and it’s also very bad that I indulge in.
So, let me explain: this is very bad. What I mean is it really drains my data. I do a data subscription monthly because most times I do my work on Hive using my laptop, and normally we all know that laptops drain battery. Anytime I'm using my phone and I'm on YouTube, but at the same time, I'm doing something else, the way the data will run out makes me feel like I have to buy data every day. I make it possible to have data on my phone just so that I can watch something on YouTube. If I don't do it in a day, then you know that something is wrong with me. Well, I've been trying to work on it. Yes, I've reduced it a little bit, and to save myself the stress of always running out of data, I decided to set my YouTube to data-saving mode. I always choose the quality for the video that I want to watch, especially when I'm not really looking at the video and just want to be listening to it. I put it at the lowest quality, and when I want to sit down and watch something, I put it at the highest quality to be able to get the best out of it.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
