Hello everyone your welcome to my blog
Social media has had many positive and negative influence on the human lives in different aspects that affect people. Hence, the question of the influence of social media on charity is one that we cannot over emphasize because some charity platforms has been helpful and pose positive influence in the lives of the people they help while some others have become a negative influence to them and has made them bend to peer pressure that has affected them and their mental Health.
So based on our current experience on what social media can and cannot do, it is safe to say that social media has changed the perspective or the ways by which people support charity. There are many platforms across different social media such as Facebook, tiktok and Instagram that allows people to spread awareness for those that cannot afford data to come online and air their concerns.Charity is something nice and it comes with blessings. I must say that rendering service for the needy or less privilege is one thing that I really enjoy and it brings maximum peace of mind. And I like to tell people that the world need more people that are humane. I am a member of different charity organization and I have my own charity organizations. Now social media has been helping us get support from people who wish to help, support or partner. Most of these people that support are people that I have not met in person before, and before someone support you with funds to carry out a project, it means the person has a level of trust in you and you must ensure not to disappoint them.
Despite these benefits, social media also comes with challenges when it comes to charity. Some people no longer give from a place of genuine concern but instead focus on recognition and public approval. They record videos or take pictures while helping others and share them online just to gain attention. This behavior can make the person receiving help feel exposed, embarrassed, or even disrespected, as their situation is turned into content for others to see. Charity is meant to restore dignity, not reduce it. Another serious issue is the rise of scams. There are individuals who create false stories or exaggerate situations just to collect money from people who truly want to help. This has made many people cautious and sometimes unwilling to support even genuine cases. Trust, which is very important in charity, is gradually being affected, and this makes it harder for real people in need to receive assistance.
