Hola madres y padres, este fin de semana en mi comunidad comenzaron las fiestas de carnaval, un evento muy bonito con muchas actividades dedicadas al entretenimiento de grandes y pequeños. Como todas estas actividades eran al aire libre, empezaron a las 7 de la tarde. En este post les contaré nuestras aventuras del sábado y domingo ya que hoy lunes de carnaval las actividades serán de día, con gyncanas y otros juegos para los niños, esta experiencia se las contaré en otro post.

Lo primero que vimos al llegar fue un gran cartel de colores con la palabra CARNAVAL, toda la gente que iba llegando quería tomarse una foto allí. Mientras mi marido buscaba un sitio para estacionar el carro, mi hija y yo no perdimos la oportunidad de modelar un poco delante del cartel. También había un equipo de sonido con buena música, inflables para que los niños saltaran, comida rápida como hamburguesas y perritos calientes a la venta, así como algodón de azúcar.
The first thing we saw when we arrived was a big colorful sign with the word CARNAVAL, all the people who were arriving wanted to take a picture there. While my husband was looking for a place to park the car, my daughter and I did not miss the opportunity to model a little in front of the sign. There was also a sound system with good music, inflatables for the kids to jump on, fast food like hamburgers and hot dogs for sale, as well as cotton candy.
Poco a poco empezó a llegar más gente, empezaron a hacer juegos con los niños en una parte de la redoma que tiene suelo, estos juegos eran competiciones entre dos equipos que iban avanzando por unos círculos que están marcados en el suelo y cada vez que se encontraban con un compañero jugaban a piedra, papel y tijera, el ganador seguía avanzando y el otro retrocedía y volvía a empezar. Mi hija fue el equipo ganador y le dieron un cotillón con caramelos.
Little by little more people were arriving, they began to play games with the children in a part of the redoma that has a floor, these games were competitions between two teams that were advancing through some circles that are marked on the floor and every time they met a partner they played rock, paper and scissors, the winner continued advancing and the other went back and started again. My daughter was the winning team and was given a cotillion with candy.
También hubo actos culturales en los que participaron varios grupos de baile que operan en la comunidad, como salsa casino, bailes tradicionales y teatro. Todo esto con niños y adolescentes de la urbanización. Solo puedo mostrarles la foto de salsa casino porque las otras estaban muy oscuras o borrosas.
There were also cultural events in which several dance groups that operate in the community, such as salsa casino, traditional dances and theater. All this with children and teenagers of the urbanization. I can only show you the photo of salsa casino because the others were too dark or too blurry.
Ayer domingo fue la elección de la Reina de Carnaval, también prepararon más juegos para hacer con los niños. Mi hijo participó en carreras con sacos, este es un juego tradicional venezolano dónde los concursantes se meten en un saco y saltan hasta llegar a la meta, mi hijo quedó de tercero 🤣el ganador era muy rápido saltando 😂.
Yesterday Sunday was the election of the Carnival Queen, they also prepared more games to do with the kids. My son participated in sack races, this is a traditional Venezuelan game where the contestants get into a sack and jump until they reach the finish line, my son was third 🤣 the winner was very fast jumping 😂..
Cuando empezó el reinado nos reunimos todos en el centro de la redoma donde hay un arco y allí estaba el sonido con el micrófono, delimitaron la zona con una cuerda para que la gente respetara el espacio donde iba a tener lugar. Había 3 candidatas, chicas muy guapas que ya tenían estudiado lo que iban a decir. También había 3 jueces y hacían 3 preguntas a cada concursante, además de hacer su respectivo desfile en la pasarela. Las preguntas consistían en dar mensajes sobre lo que pensaban de la discriminación, la influencia de las redes sociales y los videojuegos en los niños.
Desde el primer momento la candidata número 2 destacó por su forma de expresarse. Ella fue la ganadora quedando como la Reina de los Carnavales 2023 aunque las tres ganaron, ya que una fue Reina de la Cultura y la otra Reina de los Deportes, por lo que a las tres se les impuso una banda de reina y una corona 👸.
When the reign began we all gathered in the center of the redoma where there is an arch and there was the sound with the microphone, they delimited the area with a rope so that people would respect the space where it was going to take place. There were 3 candidates, very pretty girls who had already studied what they were going to say. There were also 3 judges and they asked 3 questions to each contestant, and they also made their respective parade on the catwalk. The questions consisted of giving messages about what they thought about discrimination, the influence of social networks and video games on children.
From the first moment the candidate number 2 stood out for her way of expressing herself. She was the winner remaining as the Queen of Carnivals 2023 although all three won, as one was Queen of Culture and the other Queen of Sports, so all three were imposed a queen sash and a crown 👸.
Pasamos unas horas muy agradables y divertidas, donde lo que predominaba era el ambiente familiar, los niños corriendo y jugando, algunos mostrando sus disfraces de superhéroes, princesas y hadas, que son los disfraces más comunes entre los niños. Mis hijos se reencontraron con sus amigos del colegio a los que hacía tiempo que no veían.
Me encantó que la gente de la comunidad tomara la iniciativa de realizar este evento, a mi esposo y a mí nos gusta salir con nuestros hijos a lugares donde puedan compartir con sus amigos pero siempre en un ambiente sano y familiar como en este caso. Para nosotros es importante que sean personas sociables que sepan comportarse dentro de la comunidad y creemos que no hay mejor manera de hacerlo que formando parte de ella.
We spent some very pleasant and fun hours, where what prevailed was the family atmosphere, children running and playing, some showing their superheroes, princesses and fairies costumes, which are the most common costumes among children. My children were reunited with their school friends whom they had not seen for a long time.
I was delighted that the people of the community took the initiative to hold this event, my husband and I like to go out with our children to places where they can share with their friends but always in a healthy and family atmosphere as in this case. For us it is important that they are sociable people who know how to behave within the community and we believe that there is no better way to do this than being part of it.
