New Zealand Clover Honey With Honey Comb
In New Zealand there is many different types of honey, which comes from the pollen which the bees collect.
Clover, Manuka, Borage, Kamahi, Ling Heather, Rata, Rewa Rewa, Tawai, Pohutakawa, Nodding Thistle, Honey Dew, Penny Royal.
If your wanting a clover honey like this one which is classed as one of the cheaper honey's you would place the bee hives in fields of clover.
The most experience type of honey is Manuka but it didn't used to be this way as Manuka honey used to be used as pig food until someone saw the health benefits and started marketing it, then the price started increasing and as so stopped being giving to the pigs.
There is also blended honey which is mixes of different pollen's, for example like 50/50 clover and manuka.
There is also flavored honey where you can get strawberry or blueberry flavored honeys.
Honey comb is quite chewy like a light chewing gum when eating it, with nutritional values.
Honey is used in many different ways not just for spreading across your toast, many use it as a sugar replacement, some use it on cuts/sores/cold-sores for it antibacterial properties not just on humans but on animals also.
People add honey into beauty products, health care products, toothpaste, shampoos etc also.
