Last week the bans for visiting parks due to covid-19 where lifted by the government which has now given me the opportunity to visit more green area parks while i am still stuck here in Bangkok city which actually , i don't mind at all so yesterday , i made my way over to Chatuchak Park.
It's relativity a easy park to get to by Skytrain , it will virtually drop you at the front door of this amazing well kept park if you simply hope of at MoChit station you walk downstairs your at the front door of park.
All the gate entrances to this park were closed of accept for the one entrance near the Skytrain station the reason for this was that they had security checking everyone's temperature before entering the park which , i thought was a brilliant idea keeping safe.
Chatuchak park is one of the oldest public parks in Bangkok. Construction began in 1975 on land donated by the State Railway of Thailand. The park opened on 4 December 1980 and has a area of 75 acres of pure beautiful nature and some wildlife.
This huge green space park boasts a leafy jogging route or walking route depending on which you may prefer to be doing is up to you. I was amused on how they had these orange cones down the center of the jogging paths acting as social distancing what it has become..lol 😆
One thing i noticed in this park yesterday was many squirrels coming out of the woods and people feeding them they were actually taking food out of people's hands the one lady , i spoke to about this was saying these poor squirrels haven't seen humans around for nearly 2 months so all these poor little fellas where definitely hungry and not been shy about it certainly was amazing to see these little fellas so close up.
I was really surprised to see how many squirrels were living in this park , i honestly have never seen so many squirrels in one place , i was so excited , i didn't know which one to photography next.
Well after all that excitement seeing all these lovely squirrels been taken care of it was time for a stroll along the man made lake to refresh myself and enjoy the views.
I noticed this park is right next to Chatuchak markets one of the biggest markets in the world , so it would be a perfect evening stroll after exhausting bargaining at the nearby Chatuchak Market to enjoy a bit of beautiful nature.
Definitely a most beautiful afternoon spend in this amazing park and now it was time to head home , i hope you all had a wonderful Sunday stay safe and healthy you all.
