I missed having a true Irish beer on St. Patrick’s Day so I made up for it by having an Irish coffee stout! A beer called Irish Blessing is a whiskey barrel aged coffee stout from Boulder Brewing Company out of Boulder, CO.
This stout is brewed with Ozo Coffee and aged on Tullamore DEW Irish Whiskey soaked oak chips as stated right on the can!
This guy pours out very dark with a massive head of tan colored foam, string aroma of coffee, and using my vintage Blues N Brews mug which I dug out of the closet specifically for this beer (not really but makes for a good story!)
The beers tasted strongly of coffee and I really didn’t get the whiskey at all, coffee was very strong. I liked it a lot giving it a 4.5 on Untappd! Kind of funny, one of my friends had one earlier in the day and they felt it didn’t have much coffee taste and strong whiskey!
I feel it is only fair that I nominate for the challenge. Cheers folks!
