I started my Steemit journey about a month ago. Wow, have I had a great time here. I'm super busy and am struggling with posting original content. I'm at the beginning of my pre-homestead transition from the desert southwest to somewhere deep in the mountains of the North.

I'm a regular hardworking rat in the software industry maze and have wanted to move "off-grid" for some time now. I get inspiration from homesteaders that try to show both sides of the movement, not just the fluffy kitten version. I know it's a lot of work, but I was raised on certain principals that would flourish in a more secluded environment.
