Hello beautiful people
It's with great pleasure and joy to be back here after a very longtime, I never thought this would take me as long as this to be back online, hours turned into days, days into weeks and weeks into months, it was unimaginable that I could be offline for days but as God will have it, it happened and there's nothing to be done about it, it's a good thing and my joy is that I'm back to this great, beautiful and happy family.
Just like a dream, my phone had a little problem sometimes last year October which I felt could be fixed but unfortunately after spending so much on it, it went dead and it was abandoned, I had no money with me to purchase another phone, so I decided to wait for awhile until I was able to get enough money.
Lucky enough for me, I traveled home and last year December and my brother promised to give me one of his phone to use for awhile until I'm able to get mine, just yesterday he gave me the phone after loosing hope on it, but I had no choice than to thank him, I believe with hard work and support, I will be able to get mine in no time.
The first community I visited immediately I login is #needleworkmonday to view what I've really missed coz I know for sure that I've missed alot, I was happy when I saw this challenge by , reading through it gave me so much joy as I have alot in my bucket list to finish just like in WIP challenge, the amazing thing is that there is no limit to as many as one can achieve, I believe I can achieve so much with this opportunity. Lucky enough for me I have enough time to focus and finish all my project within the time frame.
For my first entry, I will start by making this 8 pieces skirt with limited fabrics.
To make this type of skirt, one needs enough fabric like 3yards or there about to make it full but I was asked to use 2yards of fabric to achieve this by my neighborhood grandma, at first, I thought it was impossible but with a lot of thinking, I came up with an idea.
First, I divided the hip measurement by 8 with seam allowance and cut it out with the full length measurement since I will be adding elastic band to the waistline.
The next thing I did was to cut a triangle shape from the knee line to the hem line and sew it to the straight line shape I cut out earlier, that was all, to my greatest surprise, my 8pieces skirt was achieved with full flare.
An elastic band was added to the waistline and this is a plus for me.
