We start by photographing a military fort "Forte Santo Amaro" which was built in 1659 and together with other military forts was a strategic military fortress that protected Lisbon from sea sieges! It is beautiful and well restored. To prevent it from being damaged, the camera prohibits entry to almost all the fortresses that are in Oeiras and Carcavelos. By the way, you can do this tour on foot, by bicycle or electric skateboard, don't worry about carrying water in All the way you have public drinking fountains with fresh and drinkable water for you and your pet!ππ©

In the 19th century, when the beaches became a fashion for the Portuguese, this was one of the most sought after for showering in the sea, at that time people bathed between 7:00 and 9:00 whoever arrived outside the time was frowned upon, and bathing usually occurred in August! The beach is considered Portuguese heritage and various activities are practiced, from fishing to surfing!π©ππ§βπ«
Friend, please, before bathing on the beach, first see if it is supervised, if not then do not go too deep because the beaches of Oeiras and Carcavelos are too dangerous, you are showering in the Atlantic! Coincidentally, 3 people died yesterday, so always pay attention to your children! If you just want to get a tan, make yourself comfortable because it's safe!ππ§

Hike through Oeirasππ©/ Caminata por Oeirasππ

Here we can see the "Forte de SΓ£o JuliΓ£o da Barra" I think it is the biggest military fort of all or one of the biggest! You don't have access to it because it's a marine military base, but it's beautiful on the outside and the beaches surround it!ππ©

Here we are more than half of the way, and the beach begins to acquire another relief and we begin to climb a hill and we have a beautiful view because of the cliffs!π©π

Carcavelosππ©/ Carcavelosππ

Carcavelos is very close to Cascais and for me it is quite similar to Oeiras, only here there are a little less beaches and more touristy things like hotels, palaces and things like that! It is also higher up so the landscape is different.ππ

Leaving the beaches aside, many tourists come to Carcavelos for the Casino, which is the best in the country, there are many very beautiful and old churches like this one in the photo, built in the 17th century.πππ
