Today I want to talk about HEROcoin. What´s it all about and what are the future chances for such a project?
HEROcoin is connected to online games like DOTA2, CS:GO or League of Legends. This e-sport games are growing massively and more and more people are interested in this “sport”. But not only the games are growing, like in every sport there is a lot of betting involved. This is where HEROcoin wants to build up a blockchain based project. In the Whitepaper they state that most betting is not really accepted due to the sometimes scammy projects involved. The developers want to change this with a decentralized application where you can place your bets directly with the developer of the bet. This helps preventing fraud and manipulation.
If you look at the growing of the e-sports market one can only imagine eho good betting will develop once more and more people come into the market. In Germany nearly 50% of all people play videogames (source: https://www.golem.de/news/biu-46-prozent-aller-deutschen-greifen-zu-games-1403-105025.html).
