(SGS leo threads contest announcement after my HiveFeast contest entry)
This is my entry for 1 of the 4 tickets to the Hivefest contest.
The deadline is July 27 at 23:59 PST that's 3 am for me.
So I figure I leave the best for last, and I am not being cocky I am talking about the best opportunity to be one of the 4 to win, since the last might be seen first and I feel like that gives me the best shot.

So here goes
1- Who are you, what communities are you part of, what do you write/play/engage with on Hive? Tell us everything about you.
First and foremost I am a fairly recent single father of 2 beautiful babies a little boy and girl, unfortunately we had some domestic abuse in the home and their mother is no longer living with us, she still gets to see them once a week under supervision. I don't mention this to earn any point with sympathy and I will not get into the details right now but I will eventually because its a really important topic that needs more attention.
I have been on hive since the fork and I mostly post and am part of the #silvergoldstackers community however since the HGI(more on that in number 2 ) I been trying to be part of more communities on hive.
2- What do you do on a daily basis to improve the Hive Ecosystem? Small actions make a difference if done daily, or done by many. Tell us about them!
So the reason I brought up a bit of that personal stuff was because it really shows my commitment to hive, despite having a very hectic workload increase essentially taking care of 2 babies on my own, I have been more active and committed to my blog, my communities and growing the hive ecosystem.
Shortly after freeing my self and my kids from the abusive environment, It felt like I got a new lease on life, I started something called the Hive Growth Initiative, The goal is to take our blogs and hive to new heights.
Under this initiative I have made various improvements to my blog and continue to do so, I also started to engage more and be a bigger part of the #silvergoldstackers community, Not long ago I took over the management of the Leo author of the week contest for the stacker community lightening the workload for 
Like I mentioned above I have also started to expand into many other hive communities, like Leo, PIMP, Actifit, and Ladies of Hive, and I plan to continue on this trajectory and make more connection on this awesome chain.
3- What high impact initiatives that made Hive a better place have you led or engaged with since the last HiveFest? A great way to grow Hive is by leading and being part of high impact initiatives that increase promotion, adoption, onboarding, and retention.
Starting the HGI would have to be it, still early stage and its mostly me but I think as I keep improving and growing my blog and doing more for the community more people will recognize and join the growth movement, I am committed to being transparent with what I am doing and trying to help people have better success on their blogs and so I been sharing my thinking and any resources that I made or use, like uncle buzz the banner on my blogs and much more, one of the big goals of the HGI is honing in SEO to reach people outside of hive and design blogs that are more likely to entice those users to join us.
4- Why do you want to go HiveFest? Why do you think you should win one of the tickets?
I want to do everything I can to help hive rise up and so I would love to make it out to HiveFest, I have never been to anything like it and it would be incredible to have an opportunity to make some solid connections, learn some things and maybe get involved with some cool hive projects.
5- Do you have any plans for the near future or are you cooking something amazing for Hive? Also share this!

Like I mentioned I am just getting started with the HGI, and the next focus is onboarding and user retention research, One of the things I have been working on in the background is developing a strategy to bring on some creators with modest followings that I like on to hive, I actually bought some of their merch/services as part of my plan and also will be giving them more money from a "profit share" and potentially even buying some more upvotes to beef up the money I will be giving away to them, small price to pay if its an opportunity to get them onboard and potentially bring some of their fanbase along.
I already gave out a bunch of little bits of silver to the stacker community and will be having more contest giving away silver to onboard stacker outside of hive on to our awesome blockchain.
