The weather in Krabi has been hot the last few days, pushing into the mid 30's. So, we decided to take a drive to somewhere we hadn't been before, The Emerald Pool.
This naturally occurring lagoon is located about 25 kilomtres outside of Krabi Town in southern Thailand, and is simply stunning. The cool, clear, fresh water is fed from a natural spring in the limestone cliffs above. The result, you can see before you.
As it is considered a national park there is an entrance fee of about $5 for visitors. The pool was busy today yet still large enough that everybody could swim and feel relaxed. It was definitely worth the entrance fee.
Access the pool requires a very pleasant walk along a boardwalk for about 1 kilometre through some tropical rainforest.
I hope you have enjoyed my pictures...
