If you park at the end of the lot at Earnest A Dobbs park you will find some stairs leading to the trail head.
Keep climbing up the hill and go to the right.
Go straight up the hard dirt path.
Keep climbing, it is very steep, at the top you will see trees. They surround peanut lake.
Dobbs park is in Rose Hills or East L.A. in the middle of the city you have this tiny turtle filled wonderland. Bass too!
We go as often as we can to try to catch bass and to feed the turtles that always swim around.
If you are a city dweller you can still find fun outdoor activity if you look hard enough. I am going to try to find some new spots this summer....any suggestions?
There are several trout stocked city lakes in and around LA. Check out your city website and maybe get lucky.
Most city's have to stock in summer for mesquite vectoring anyway.
