A couple of years ago a young musician called Elko Becker formed the busking festival to raise money for a sick child. The child needed a certain type of machine that cost thousands. So Elko sprung into action and called for help from his musician friends. Since then the festival has gone from strength to strength and musicians from all over Europe flock to my hometown every August. Elko is guy on the right below.
I have to say it’s my favourite weekend of the year. There is musicians in every pub and every street corner . Young and old . From folk to rock with the trad element also represented of course . Below is a band called Anna that I was really impressed with this year.
