I am glad to bring to your notice a Decentralized social media application called Tata. It is an easy to use application that runs on the Acorn protocol which rewards you for posting quality contents as determined by the ecosystem . It has a unique blend of Instagram and Steemit features which makes it a strong contender in the future in social media.
Tata is similar to Steemit in that the rewards for a particular posts is decided by all users on the blockchain which is a function of the quality and popularity of the content creator. Also it has its own cryptocurrency which is ACN just like Steem and SBD. I would say it is a more linient version of esteem app.
One thing Tata has going for it is the fact that it is relatively easy to sign up for an account when compared to other similar blockchain projects. I have seen several articles written on signing up already so I would not delve into that. It has a reputation based algorithm just like Steemit which affects what a particular user gets from the system in terms of functionality. The higher your reputation the higher your rewards. Also there is the heat points generated on each post which determine the The exact rewards you get per posts.
Another similarity between Steemit and Tata is the fact that the there is a separate platform for monetization which is TTC which has to be connected to the Tata application. This is comparable to the The Steemit wallet site but I think the KYC process is a bit cumbersome
I would recommend all Steemians to try Tata out as you will be able to connect with blockchain enthusiasts from China and other Asian countries. All in all its a great app to have on your mobile device whether on Android or IOS platform.
