Have you ever had those cravings for dessert when you're on a diet? I know I certainly have!
But for those of us who are trying to get fitter & healthier, giving in to our sweet tooth can be very detrimental to our progress. Well, what if I told you that you could make your own dessert, one that's completely sugar-free and super healthy?
Sounds too good to be true? I promise you it's true, and very very simple. In fact, all you need is one ingredient!
Bananas.
That's right, bananas. All you gotta do is peel & slice some ripe bananas, put them in an airtight container, and stash it in the freezer for at least 4 hours. You want to get them really frozen solid.
Whenever you're feeling a sweet craving, put the frozen banana into a blender, and blend until creamy.
Ta-daah! This wonderfully easy dessert tastes just like ice cream!
If the plain flavouring doesn't excite you, you can even add peanut butter, Nutella, vanilla bean, or fruit preserve, for interesting flavours. These additions would make the dessert a tiny bit less healthy, but it's still better than most store-bought ice creams.
Personally, I now keep a box of sliced banana in my freezer at all times, so I'm prepared for whenever a sweet craving strikes! :-D
