I've had it for several years and have used it quite a bit. The need to charge does make it a bit less useful than it could be otherwise. Mine was also a little noisy as there is a mechanism inside that makes both wheels move to fool the tape player into thinking that it's a real tape. Modern tape players will eject a tape when it's driving one wheel and the other doesn't turn on it's one in order to keep you from playing broken tapes.
