
There is a road in a corner of Banda Aceh that I almost pass every day. This is a road that is exactly along the banks of the Krueng Aceh river. The starting point at the Beurawe T-junction then extends until it splits into a T-junction under the Pango Bridge; one turns to the left and then merges with Prof. Ali Hasymi street, the other one continued straight through the bridge until it turned black in the groves of the outskirts of Mukim Pango Raya.
I love walking down this street because of its lushness. Along the river bank in the form of a mound, pine trees grow, which from the shape of their trunks appear to be decades old. The pines grew in rows, neatly, as if to indicate they were planted on purpose.
