Welcome to the dTube Growth Series.
YouTube has become extremely saturated with millions of people uploading in every niche. dtube may be the equivalent of getting on YouTube in 2005 - meaning a lot of potential to grow a following and earn money (a lot more than YouTube actually)
Each part of this series is going to focus in one area of growing on dTube, using the same tactics I used for YouTube.
I’ll be covering the following topics:
- Branding
- Getting to the top of search results
- Posting in the right categories
- Multiple ways to make the most quality videos possible
- Growing by collaborating
- Filming gear at all the best deals.
- Simple video editing techniques to make your videos look very professional
- A WHOLE LOT MORE
I try to always stay realistic about growth. It’s never overnight, it takes time to be great. It took me years of dedication.
Part of me really believes dTube is an opportunity to grow much more quickly compared to YouTube, in fact it actually is due to the increased visibility and quality community.
Let’s begin - The dTube Growth Series Part 1
Trending Topics
Take a fairly static industry like bodybuilding. If a YouTuber, John, with 1 million subscriber and one, Adam, with 15 subscribers make a video on ab workouts, the person with the 1 million subscribers is going to get listed in a much better position. That’s how the YouTube algorithm works, dTube may be slightly different.
Let’s add one more person into the mix - a person with 1000 subscribers, Walt, made an ab workout video 5 years ago. Their video listed higher than both John and Adam.
Now if you make a video on a new trending topic, Walt from 5 years ago is no longer part of the competition. And, both John and Adam have a fairly similar chance at listing well, depending on how well their search engine optimization is, engagement, etc (controllable factors)
dTube put some you in an awesome position because you can actually make an ab workout video, and do great because there is barely any on there right now. In 5 years, you might be the Walt of YouTube.
As said before though, trending topics are always recommend. That’s why you always see the latest cryptocurrency information at the top of trending on Steemit.
That’s it for Part 1, follow me to stay tuned for the rest of the series!
Thank you
