Easy and fast to make (only 4 ingredients), but be careful they pack a punch.
To serve two people (makes about 5 of those little glasses in the pic) you need: 4-5 limes, tequila, and triple sec. A little juicer is nice and a double-shot shot glass makes a perfect measuring cup; you do need a container to shake them in (red top in the pic). Go ahead and put the glasses you will serve in (with ice) into the freezer along with the shaker 1/3 filled with ice.
Juice your limes.
In the shaker mix: 1 part - lime juice, 2 parts - tequila, 2 parts - triple sec, and 1 part - water.
Seal and shake hard until it turns white and foamy. Cold ice works best, the wet ice out of a bag doesn't work very well. It breaks up too easy, and waters down the flavor.
Serve it up.
You rarely have a chance to pick a mid shelf triple-sec, bottom shelf is fine. In our opinion, the best tequila for mixing these is a mid shelf white tequila, but we were out of our favorite (usually use Toro de Lidia). I guess you could make these out of Patron and Grand Marnier, but we put the extra money toward travel.
I found this 1/2/2/1 recipe a long time ago when working a second job throwing cases at a liquor store. It was on the back of some bottle i cant remember, been making them once a month or so ever since; but credit where credit is due.
Hope y'all enjoy! Be safe out there.
