We just introduced a new market analytics page on SplinterGuide that I'm excited to share. It's a collection of data I've wanted to have access to myself, so I decided to build it onto the site and give everyone else a view on it as well. You can check it out here: https://splinterguide.com/list/market.
Here are the highlights:
(1) BCX savings shows you the pretty typical % discount you'd get by buying the lowest price multi-BCX listing vs. the lowest 1-BCX listing.
(2) The GF:RF value shows you the price premium you'd pay to max out the Gold Foil version of a card. If the value is less than 1, that means the GF is cheaper to max than the RF. This only compares the low BCX prices, so you can't necessarily actually max the card at that price, however it's a good indicator to find deals on GF cards. Note however that it may not just mean the GF price is low, but could also mean the RF price is high!
(3) Market depth shows you how many cards are available on the market.
(4) Circulation (BCX) and circulation (cards) shows the numbers of BCX and cards, respectively, that are still circulating (not burned).
(5) Max # Maxxed copies shows the maximum number of cards that can ever exist based on the current circulating supply of that card. It takes into account the number of BCX required to max the card and the current BCX circulation.
(6) Combined % looks at how much of the circulating BCX is currently combined.
(7) Market Cap is the product of the Low BCX price and the circulating BCX.
(8) Note that the page comes with the RF filter selected by default, but you can change that at any time to see GF listings.
Here's some fun data you can get easily by playing around with the table:
- Did you know that, at the time of this writing, there is only 1 Lux Vega available on the market? How about that there are only 6 Enchanted Defenders, despite it being a Common card with a circulation of over 100k BCX?
- Did you know there's only 1 GF Mighty Dricken in existence?
- Did you know there can only ever be 361 maxxed copies of Byzantine Kitty? And did you know that over 75% of Byz Kitty's BCX has already been combined?
- Did you know the card with the lowest market cap is Marrow's Ghost with a Mcap under $10k?
- Did you know the RF market cap of Lux Vega (~$12m) is >10x higher than Byz Kitty's ($1.1m)?
- Did you know there are ~50 cards who have 0 GF version listed on the market?
As with all tables on SplinterGuide, you can sort on any of the columns to view whatever matters most to you. In addition, there's a search bar to help quickly filter the table, and you can even filter by ability if you're trying to find deals for cards with specific abilities.
Note that soulbound cards aren't in this table because they have no listings. If there's demand for it, I may add a separate distribution-only dashboard in the future that would include the soulbound cards.
Hope you find this feature useful, and please let me know if you have any feedback!
