Florence The Forrest Fairy
Florence was a fairy who lived down in fairy lane,
Florence loved the forest and she sure loved the rain.
And in colorful fields where lilies did sway,
That’s where Florence loved to dance and play.
She always kept an eager eye,
on all the animals passing by.
And when the flowers came to bloom,
she painted their petals with a swish and a zoom.
Painting was her favourite things,
she painted everything from daffodils to butterfly-wings.
But one day when she gave a stroke,
her magic little paintbrush broke.
Now, in order to have her paintbrush as good as new,
she needed to get her hands on the feather of a golden cockatoo.
But the golden cockatoo lived past the place where the sleeping cat laid,
And that’s where she needed to get to in order to have her new paintbrush made
So one day she shut her eyes and tiptoed past
Until she reached the golden Cockatoo a last
But, she found her golden feather there,
Then took it to the crafts-faerie at the forest fare
When she got it back, this much I know,
That little fairies face did glow.
