Today I came across an amazing garden find.

These Gigantic flowers belong to the rare Aristolochia Gigantea plant, also known as the Gigantic Dutchman's Pipe or the Giant Pelican Flower

In an attempt to illustrate the massive size of these flowers, I included a standard size BIC cigarette lighter in the pictures.

Here we can see one of the unopened flower buds dangling heavily from its ever green creeper host,that you will be able to see more clearly in the next picture.

Here you can see the solid evergreen canopy that this amazing plant has formed.
Such a great and natural alternative to costly roofing and shade nets outdoors.
