The Hawaiian fun keeps coming with a nice evening luau and lots of good food.
We went to the King's Luau at Diamond Head Beach and were treated to some great entertainment and delicious food. The luau focused on different Polynesian cultures and the highlight was the fire twirlers (probably not what they are actually called). We had a front row seat, which turned out to be a bit crazy, as I was pulled up to the stage and had a number of girls dancing hula around me... there must have been 500 people there, but they had to choose me?? I had fun and took a picture afterward with one of the ladies... thankfully, my wife was cool with it!
We have had a number of good meals while here in Oahu, but I think two of the highlights are the Rainbow Drive In and the Kona Brewing Company Pub in Honolulu. The Rainbow Drive In was truly authentic local food and had delicious BBQ beef. The food at Kona was delicious and I had a porterhouse beef dip to accompany my beer, which of course was great as well. The restaurant was on the water, so it was a great place to be with the sun going down!
Thanks for reading! Aloha!
