It has happened to me twice on HitBTC where I end up with money trapped in Tether. I hate Tether and it is likely a house of cards so I would never intentionally put money into it.
The way the money got in there is when I tried to sell out of a coin for some reason it sold it for Tether instead of BTC. I never clicked on the Tether market and that has happened to me twice. Then they have a 0.01 BTC limit on selling Tether. So if you don't have that much money over there suddenly you can't set out of it. Last time I was able to move it to Poloniex and sell it but it charged me 5 Tether to do that which I was super pissed about.
This time I actually bought more tether for the specific reason getting over the price barrier to be able to sell it for BTC. Then it started giving me errors that didn't make sense.
At that point I was fed up and tried to send it to Poloniex. Then I looked at the fee and it said $100! I was like "What in the actual FUCK!!!!" ( taught me that one in his post today!)
So I can't sell it and I can't withdraw it. How stupid!!!!! I know it might not seem that much to some people but in these markets if you put it into one of these coins that gets pumped hard it might 1000X! Has anyone else had this issue in the past as well?
