While the chart is exciting, I'm just sneaking it into a post so I can ramble on about Steemit and put my thoughts into writing.
Steem is definitely a unique player in the Crypto space. you can hodl it, power it up to hold shares and boost voting power in the steemit ecosystem, and pretty soon it will have token smart contracts in the form of Steem Media Tokens. Not only that, but the volume of transactions rival any other blockchain, despite being very young. Steemit is in the top 1000 most used websites in north america.
Steem is one of the few cryptocurrencies I have a very hard time parting with for any reason, simply because gaining more can help you to gain more even faster, as well as reward others in a meaningful way that keeps them motivated too. I have to resist the urge to dump my Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and other crypto's to buy up more Steem. But patience is the key here. We'll all grow our Steem power together until the Platform hits it's golden frequency.
Man... it sounds like I'm on a pump squad for Steemit or something, but this platform is 100 times more addictive than any other social media platform I've ever touched. As this platform evolves and draws more people in, there will be a point of critical mass, and we will look back at charts like this and laugh, because Steem for $6 USD is such a joke for what Steem can do even now. It is a first mover for decentralized social media, and it will grow in value for that reason, but not just that reason alone.
I'm bullish always with Steem, but patience is necessary because Steem will not become a dominant force overnight. Bitcoin took 9 years to reach viral status. Ethereum is still an unknown outside of the cryptospace. But Steemit is different. It doesn't look like a crypto, it doesn't smell like a crypto. It caters to the end user, not just the investor. It won't take 9 years for Steem to go parabolic. It will not be comparable to a tulip bulb bubble, not like Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is merely the engine waiting to be put into a vehicle, while Steem is an engine built specifically for a vehicle, and we as early adopters get to test drive that vehicle and reap the rewards both now and in the future if we stay the course.
