With the news we got last Tuesday here in Holland about the new LockDown a new work office is the new normal again. So I am working from home and as I blogged about before the new office was redone and all cleaned up and improved for a new period of home work and probably home schooling.
The new Covid rules were MOST DEFINITELY NEEDED. For all of you who don’t know what the crazy Dutch do and are up against here are the facts.
Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Minister Hugo de Jonge were back with the new rules two days ago on television ( national tv on Tuesday 13 October. ) They told about strict rules against the corona virus, because the numbers are the worst of all
Europe and we have to stop them rising any further.
There are so many infections with corona.
That is why the rules had to be changed. The rules are very strickt and a fine is also possible. The rules apply for at least 2 weeks. Maybe even longer.
New rules for groups: Receive a maximum of 3 guests per day at home. Children up to and including 12 years are not included. A maximum of 30 people may be together in an indoor space. Children count.
You may meet with a group of maximum 4 people. Or with all the people who belong to your household. For example in a cinema.
Children up to and including 12 years are not included. A maximum of 4 people may be together outside. Or all people who belong to 1 household. New rules for everyday life
As much as possible work from home.
Wear mouth masks. Cafes and restaurants closed. Most shops closed in the evening at a max of 22.00 CET. No alcohol and soft drugs in the evening
Events are canceled. Yes all events are cancelled. No musicals, concerts or stand up comedy anymore.
New rules for sports
Sports are only allowed at a distance of 1.5 meters from others. Exercise alone. Or in a team of up to 4 people. Competitions are not allowed on what ever sports. This applies to people aged 18 and over. The sports rules do not apply to children up to the age of 18. They are allowed to play sports in larger teams. Or play matches with teams from their own club. Sports canteens are closed. Showers and changing rooms are closed.
New rules for travel, Travel as little as possible. Are you going on a trip? Then stay at your holiday address as much as possible. For example in your holiday home. Traveling abroad
Always follow the travel advice if you want to go abroad. The travel advice can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Do not forget:
- Always keep a distance of 1.5 meters.
- Do not go to places where it is busy.
- Sneeze and cough into your elbow.
- Wash your hands often with soap.
- Wear a mouth mask where necessary.
- Do you have a cold? Then stay at home!
- Do you have a fever or are you short of breath? Then all housemates must stay at home. Work from home as much as possible.
So that’s the status now. I have to say that with 200.000 people sick it’s so nesseccary but it’s hard. Don’t get me wrong it’s that for everybody where ever on the world.
I know we are close to a cure but when the cure is available to all of us well that will take much time. And u till than this is the new normal. I have to get the work done from home and that’s fine. Wanna know why? Well I can take walk breaks when the weather is good. And today this was possible and I took the opportunity to be in nature while I took a break.
Untill than this is what will help the nature and clouds are great and I love being outdoors. I will keep you posted ofcourse
