Daria sabia que ese hombre era su vida, desde que le había conocido, ella se había enamorado irremediablemente de el. Al principio todo había "funcionado", pues el medianamente se había dedicado a estar con ella, en realidad le había resultado muy fácil, pues Daria era dueña de varias empresas, una mujer viuda como ella con sus hijos, podía darse el lujo de mantener al que quisiera.

Pero Joaquín, era sumamente mujeriego y pronto la novedad pasaría, a los pocos meses de estar con Daria ya estaba con otras por allí, ella no le gustaba esto, pero mientras el se mantuviera con ella, fingiría que no se daba cuenta de nada, estaba muy consciente, que solo bienestar económico podía ofrecerle y su compañía ya que hijos, no podía tener, se había esterilizado de emergencias.

La mas pequeña de Daria tenia 5 añitos y la había tenido en edad tardía, casi muere en su parto ,así que hasta ahí dejó lo de tener mas hijos y se esterilizó. Un día, empezó a notar que Joaquín empezó a evadirla y cada vez, que quería estar con el ponía tontas excusas, empezó a tener escapadas mas largas, pronto se enteró, que el estaba saliendo con una linda chica, jovencísima.

Llego el momento, en que no podía seguir haciéndose la loca, pues Joaquín le dijo que la iba a abandonar, se había enamorado de esta mujer y poco le importaba seguir con ella. Recogió sus cosas y se fue, dejando a Daria en la pena mas profunda, poco le importaba nada ni siquiera sus hijos, se volvió descuidada y solo pensaba en como hacer para que Joaquín volviera.

Pronto consiguió la solución, una de sus chicas de servicios, una mulata que era proveniente de Haití, al verla en total desesperación le dio la solución, ella conocía una vieja bruja que practicaba las artes oscuras eso si, pero que podría ayudarla para su "problema". Daria se entusiasmo e hizo que esta, le concertara una entrevista con aquella mujer.

Se llegó el día y Daria fue decidida a hacer lo que fuera necesario, para conseguir su objetivo, que era hacer que Joaquín volviera a su lado. Esta mujer nada mas verla, le dijo que iba a ser algo difícil, ya que el estaba muy enamorado, mas no imposible, pero que Daria tenia que estar consciente que tendría que dar una "ofrenda" a ese ser, que le podía otorgar su deseo. Esta mujer la advirtió, pero Daria enceguecida no la oyó y continuo con aquello.

Aquella mujer continuo con lo pautado, le pidió algunas cosas personales de ambos, ropa intima, fotos, cepillo de dientes de el y otras cosas mas, para empezar aquel extraño "trabajo". Daria esperaba ansiosa empezar a ver los resultados, no le importaba nada mas, aunque aquella mujer le producía extraños escalofríos cada vez que la veía, pero se hacia la loca ante esas sensaciones.

De un momento a otro Joaquín llegó donde ella, arrepentido y mas fogoso que nunca, Daria estaba en las nubes, no podía creerlo, lo que esa vieja bruja le pidiera, le daría, bien había valido la pena, aquel pacto con ella y con aquel ser que jamás había visto, ni sabia que o quien era, lo curioso es que todavía no le había dicho que iba a querer a cambio, pero lo que fuera estaba hecho.

Daria estaba en una nube rosa, pues Joaquín estaba como nunca con ella y a los dias se olvidó de lo pendiente con aquella mujer, a lo mejor se había muerto o algo así. Pero que equivocada estaba, por que esa mujer la mando a llamar con urgencia y le mando a decir, que si se le había olvidado su convenio con ella. Había llegado el momento de pagar lo adeudado.

Daria fue dispuesta a darle lo que quisiera, una casa, unos terrenos lo que fuera y se olvidaría de ella. Al llegar, la mujer le dijo que era el momento de pagar la deuda adquirida, que ella había aceptado y que pronto vería de lo que se trataba, solo podía decirle que al llegar a casa lo sabría. La bruja dijo que eso era para aquel ser, su "ofrenda", que para ella solo quería una suma importante de dinero.

Daria le extendió un cheque con la suma requerida y se fue tranquilamente a su casa pensando que esa vieja mujer ya estaba un poco loca, a lo mejor se estaba poniendo senil, pensó Daria. Al llegar a casa, se extrañó que su pequeña niña, no llegara donde ella como siempre, saltando tras de ella y revisando sus bolsas o cartera para ver el dulce que siempre le traía.

Entró a casa, revisando las habitaciones preguntándole a las mujeres del servicio por la niña. Le dijeron que la encontraría en su habitación, al llegar encontró a su hermosa niña, desmayada con unos graves arañazos en su delicado cuello, sin vida, en un charco de sangre. Desde ese momento Daria entendió que su pequeña hija, había sido la "ofrenda" para ese ser del infierno.

She gathered her things and left, leaving Daria in the deepest sorrow, she didn't care about anything, not even her children, she became careless and only thought about how to make Joaquin come back.

Soon she found the solution, one of her service girls, a mulatto from Haiti, when she saw her in total desperation gave her the solution, she knew an old witch who practiced the dark arts, yes, but she could help her with her "problem". From one moment to another Joaquin arrived at her, repentant and more fiery than ever, Daria was in the clouds, she could not believe it, whatever that old witch asked for, she would give him, it had been worth it, that pact with her and with that being that she had never seen, nor knew who or what he was, the curious thing is that she had not yet told him what she wanted in return, but whatever it was, it was done.

Daria was in a pink cloud, because Joaquin was like never before with her and after a few days she forgot about what was pending with that woman, maybe she had died or something like that. But how wrong she was, because that woman sent for her urgently and told him to tell her that he had forgotten his agreement with her. The time had come to pay what was owed.

Daria was willing to give her whatever she wanted, a house, some land, whatever, and she would forget about it. When she arrived, the woman told her that it was time to pay the acquired debt, that she had accepted and that she would soon see what it was about, she could only tell her that when she got home she would know. The witch said that this was for that being, her "offering", that she only wanted a large sum of money for herself.

Daria wrote her a check with the required sum and went quietly home thinking that the old woman was already a little crazy, maybe she was getting senile, Daria thought. When she got home, she was surprised that her little girl did not come to her as usual, jumping after her and checking her bags or purse to see the candy she always brought her.

She went into the house, checking the rooms asking the maids about the little girl. They told her she would find her in her room, when she arrived she found her beautiful girl, passed out with severe scratches on her delicate neck, lifeless, in a pool of blood. From that moment on, Daria understood that her little daughter had been the "offering" for that being from hell.
