No major updates tonight as I am bound by time... trapped in the world of the "clopen"... damn you Iss-Nagish! For those of you who have never worked in a retail type situation, the "clopen" is the combination of shifts where a person is scheduled to close up shop one night, and open it up the next morning as well, thereby giving the least amount of free time between episodes of drudgery as possible. Which of course rolls over into the amount of time and energy available for important pursuits... like drawing comics! And for those who don't know of Iss-Nagish... you just have to read a bit more about Ithaqa by @drwatson!
Anyways, I managed to get a bit more work in on my pin up piece for the Ithaqa crowdfunding campaign on Fundition, which I discussed in my last post. Let's say that the loose threads of the composition are coming together...
This is a rough "blue line" sketch of the composition in progress, depicting Margaret and Hazel during a moment of eerie exploration. This stage is more to build form, proportion, and layout rather than detail. At this point all the work has been done digitally. In order to create a one of a kind original art piece for this event, I'll soon be printing this onto Bristol board and doing most of the heavy lifting with good old fashioned pencil and ink.
I'll share further process shots of the detail work over the coming days. This piece of original art or other rewards could be yours by supporting the Ithaqa campaign with your votes and donations! And just like with my Descent Into Madness, part 1; I'll be donating the liquid non Steem Power rewards from this post to the Ithaqa campaign as well.
I hope this piques your interest, but know that it will really start to come to life throughout the rest of this week!
