YouTube stated in an August 1st update to Google’s June announcement that they were achieving “Better detection and faster removal driven by machine learning,” and “[o]ver 75 percent of the videos we’ve removed for violent extremism over the past month were taken down before receiving a single human flag.” We’re sympathetic to the desire to remove extremist content.
