Memories of days past can be a great thing or painful. The human mind has a great recollection ability, and I personally believe the more emotions (good or bad) associated with a memory, the easier it is to recollect it. I personally believe it's God's gift to us that regardless of whether you're rich or poor, you can close your eyes and forget the temporary struggles and frustrations of today, and relive those moments that brought us some of our greatest joy.

So what does this have to do with Pokémon Blue? A few of us were chatting this morning in the #silvergoldstackers Discord. We were chatting about games we played and the conversation of Pokemon came up between myself, and

This game brings back many joyful memories of my childhood. My sister and I would play it together, and so did my cousins in California. When we'd go visit, we looked forward to trading, battling and talking about Pokémon. For us, Pokémon Blue and Red was a great way to bond and have fun.

Does anyone remember this guy? My cousins and I discovered him, along with the "infinite item" hack, and the ability to level up Pokémon to level 250. Our battles became epic, even more fun and more memorable!

A few years later, Pokémon Silver and Gold were released. There was a whole new world to explore, new Pokémon to find and even more gym leaders to battle! Our minds were blown, and great memories continued to be made!
Playing these games together forged a bond between us that remained strong even after we all gradually stopped playing Pokémon, as we got older. For those of you who have followed my other posts, you already know we got together to make a Star Wars parody in our junior year of high school. More great memories I treasure and recall fondly!

While we've all moved to different parts of the country and started families of our own, these memories are something I treasure. I look forward to making equally treasured memories with my kids. Just today my wife and I caught my son humming the "Imperial March" and talking about how he wants to be "Dark Vapor" (Parody of Darth Vader) for Halloween.
Do you have memories like these that you treasure and look back on with fondness?

Do you like stacking gold and silver?
