With the advent of a new year, I want to create a fresh start with Steemit and my Steem fans and followers. I also want to apologize to my (non-bot) followers who have commented on my various posts, and I have largely neglected to reply back. Since you took the time to craft a comment, I should at least acknowledge your effort.
Over the last several months, I’ve witnessed my business blow up tremendously. This of course is wonderful news. The only drawback to this offline success is that I have nearly zero time to do the things that I want to do; namely, build my Bullish Money media brand, and of course, promote my Steemit and YouTube accounts.
The other reason I’ve been quiet until just recently is the unfortunate developments that arose from the Steemit hardfork. When I first started out on Steemit, there was a genuine sense that effort matched financial compensation. It was not at all difficult to attract double-digit revenue for my posts, and I’m sure many of you will agree that considerable effort was expended to create those posts.
A few months after the hardfork, I noticed that I only averaged 20 cents a post. While I grudged through it, I absolutely could not reconcile the fact that I would spend hours on my posts, only to receive a few pennies. I’m sorry folks, but that’s third-world poverty income, and I live in California. Thus began my love-hate affair with the Steemit network.
Now that virtually all altcoin assets are moving substantially higher, the effort that I put into Steemit is beginning to approach the dynamic that I once enjoyed: put in the effort, and you get the reward. This is equitable, and therefore, I have a stronger feeling today about Steem than I did three months back.
Anyways, this is my honest, no BS story about my adventures during the second-half of 2017. For 2018, I aim to engage my followers, and just as importantly, craft interesting, unique, and profitable content for all of you to benefit!
Happy New Year!
