After the festival we went for some sightseeing. Nothing better than a walk to clear some barley wine induced grogginess.
Bad Ratkersburg was unavoidable stop since it is so close to the Bevog Brewery. Quaint little city, though kind of desolate on Sunday morning. I could actually hear the echo in the street as I was talking. Must be that everyone attended the festival, hehe.
They sure like their pumpkins!
I loved the open landscapes in Slovenia, plenty of animals just laying around. They seemed happy and free.
Final stop before heading home to Croatia was Maribor in Slovenia. We didn’t have much time so it was only a quick stroll and lunch. Pretty town. Seems very cultural! I was awed by this big metal statue commemorating the allied victory in WWII. Imposing!
We even find some Bevog brews on tap. I was mildly drawn to it but since a drive home was ahead of us, I decided against. I eagerly wait for my next chance!
