We last left off with our group surrounded by cannibal Dwarves after someone had set the inside of our tent on fire. Before we continue I'd just like to point out the flying cookies in today's photo. It adds an element of action my other shots have been missing up until now.
Ok back to the D&D. We were completely surrounded by cannibals and before we could even think of any sort of plan to get out of the situation, we were under attack. As much as we may have wanted to befriend the cannibals we had no choice but to murder them.
We were vastly outnumbered and surrounded by over 20 cannibals. They had us trapped in a circle and killing them was our only way out. In the initial panic of the fight, most of us were split up and left to fend for ourselves. Lyle the Druid did his best to stay out of harms way and assist in aiding and healing as best he could. The rest of us set out slaughtering the cannibals.
I went off on my own and begin laying waste to the cannibals. They appeared quite weak and I was quickly reevaluating my perception of them as I almost went down immedaitely after engaging. It seemed the cannibals weren't as weak as they appeared. A few of us came close to dying but Lyle was able to keep us all alive long enough that we began to trim down their numbers and take control of the battle.
It took us a while but we managed to slay the cannibals. At this point we immediately started to look for our guide Ien because we were quite sure he had been the one to light our tent on fire. Ien revealed himself shortly after the fight had ended. As we attempted to engage in conversation with him to find out what had happened, Ien attacked. He was quite strong but no match for our full group and he went down with ease.
So the whole time our guide had secretly been a cannibal trying to lure us into a cannibal trap. On the brightside we are well on our way up the mountain. On the downside we don't have a guide and have no idea where we are going. I think next session could get quite interesting. See you all next week!
As a little bonus here is a beautiful picture drew while we were playing. Such talent!
