I can't even express how much I love the Midsummer feast as it's one of my most favorite holidays of the year! The time on these two days went by so fast and I kind of wish that I could have spent at least another week at the countryside. On Friday the weather was absolutely perfect and while we were picking flowers in the meadow, I even managed to slightly sunburn my cheeks and my nose. The evening was quite chilly and sun was quick to hide under those big grey clouds, therefore, I wasn't able to capture the gorgeous Midsummer golden hour like last year. As per usual I spent these holidays with my closest family and boyfriend at my grandparents countryside in Tārgale, near Ventspils. And as per usual we created Midsummer flower crowns, I made mine from bedstraw, rye, jasmine, peony and daisies. The boys had the traditional oak tree leave wreaths. And, of course, Aurelia also had a little flower crown since it was her first Midsummer feast and I cannot even express how happy she was to be at the countryside, with so many people and so much food around 😊 Do you celebrate Midsummer feast / Summer Solstice in your country?
