HEY THERE FELLOW STEEMIAN
Gong Xi Fa Cai! It's a non-working special holiday here in the Philippines in respect to the Chinese community. (Yay!)
I went to the mall to chill, and since the weather has been excruciatingly hot outside, I decided to get some Ice Cream.π¦
I wanted to be a little special today so I googled any ice cream place I could go to in the mall. I was intrigued when I read "fried ice cream", and I thought, "What the hell is fried ice cream, isn't it supposed to be frozen?"β
Curious as I always am. I decided to try it anyway.
It wasn't a place where you could sit, it was just a stall where you buy then walk away. Anyway, it was called Miguelito's Fried Ice Cream. The reason why it's called "fried" is because they spread out the the warm, melted ice cream on a freezing flat surface then in a carve-like motion or frying motion, it becomes small rolls, just like making chocolate curls. Cool right?
There were a lot of flavors like the typical vanilla, chocolate, ube, et al. I decided to go with vanilla. The price actually depends on the toppings. You also get your choice of syrup. I got colorful sprinkles (the cheapest, ha!) since I just love colorful ice cream and Ube syrup. Isn't your mouth just watering, reading that? ππ¨
The best part about this? Price. I got mine for only 40 pesos. Yes, P40.00. No extra charge. I'm quite disappointed with myself since Miguelito's has been around for quite sometime now and I just found out about them.
They're located at the 4th floor of SM City Cebu infront of the Thirsty? stall. There are other branches nationwide, you can visit them here
