En Venezuela un motorizado es de uso como medio de transporte y trabajo (como mototaxista) o andan de paseo o como medio de transporte para varios acciones, pero las normas de circulación y seguridad a base de la Ley. Estas últimas incluyen el uso obligatorio de casco, la prohibición de llevar pasajeros vulnerables (menores de 10 años, mujeres embarazadas, mayores de 60), y el respeto a las leyes de tránsito como el uso de luces, reflectores, frenos y un silenciado, a su vez debe contar con la documentación requerida como licencia de conducir, certificado médico, y el registro del vehículo.
