¡Saludos mis queridos hivers! Como todos los que hacemos vida en Hive, estamos ante la premura de mostrar no solo contenido original, también hacer que se vea bonito, hoy les traigo un tutorial de retoque fotográfico, para usar tanto con imágenes propias o las descargadas, libre de uso, que usamos aquí en la plataforma. Con este tutorial aprenderemos varios atajos, funciones y mañas del programa Photoshop, que es el que estaremos utilizando, porque como siempre digo, con los tutoriales no solo se aprende una técnica para determinado producto, también aprendes a manejar las herramientas que te pueden servir para otro proyecto.

Greetings my dear hivers! As all of us who make life in Hive, we are in a hurry to show not only original content, but also make it look nice, today I bring you a photo retouching tutorial, to use both with your own images or downloaded, free to use, that we use here on the platform. With this tutorial we will learn several shortcuts, functions and tricks of the Photoshop program, which is the one we will be using, because as I always say, with the tutorials you not only learn a technique for a certain product, you also learn to handle the tools that can serve you for another project.

Muy bien, comencemos / All right, let's get started:

• Preparar la imagen
  Primero, abre la foto con la que quieres trabajar. Para abrir tu foto, ve a Archivo > Abrir, escoge tu foto, y haz clic en Abrir. te dejo la imagen que usé en éste tutorial, la cual puedes encontrar y descargar aquí. Ahora, antes de comenzar, solo verifica un par de cosas:

• Tu foto debería estar en modo Color RGB, 8 Bits/Canal. Para comprobar esto,
  ve a Imagen > Modo. Y le das clic a las opciones que te di si no están marcadas
  ya.

• Preparing the image
  First, open the photo you want to work with. To open your photo, go to File > Open, choose your photo, and click Open. I leave you with the image I used in this tutorial, which you can find and download here. Now, before you start, just check a couple of things:

• Your photo should be in RGB Color mode, 8 Bits/Channel. To check this, go to Image > Mode,
  go to Image > Mode. And click on the options I gave you if they're not already checked.

• Vamos a recortar al personaje, depende del proyecto que queramos hacer si usamos el fondo o no, pero de cualquier manera hay que recortar la imagen, photoshop ofrece muchas maneras de hacerlo, pero asumiendo que son primerizos, les voy a enseñar a recortar usando la herramienta de Lazo poligonal, es muy sencilla, el truco está en ir sumando puntos (o nodos) a corta distancia cuando es una curva, todos sabemos que en la naturaleza no existen formas rectas, así que para ir captando las curvas del cuerpo de nuestro modelo, debemos ir "calcando" al personaje por puntos muy cercanos entre si, para que, al finalizar la selección, tengamos la figura del modelo tan cercana a la realidad como sea posible.

• We are going to crop the character, it depends on the project we want to do if we use the background or not, but either way we have to crop the image, photoshop offers many ways to do it, but assuming you are first timers, I am going to show you how to crop using the polygonal Lasso tool, it is very simple, the trick is to add points (or nodes) at short distances when it is a curve, we all know that in nature there are no straight shapes, so to capture the curves of the body of our model, we must "trace" the character by points very close to each other, so that, at the end of the selection, we have the figure of the model as close to reality as possible.

Así deberá verse una vez seleccionado el contorno de la imagen que deseamos extraer, con solo utilizar el atajo del teclado CTRL+J tendremos una copia de nuestra selección.

This is how it should look once we have selected the outline of the image we want to extract, just by using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+J we will have a copy of our selection.

Repito, si vamos a utilizar el fondo recomiendo crear un nuevo documento para realizar el efecto, si no lo pensamos utilizar lo descartamos sin remordimiento alguno. Acá podemos ver la capa original de nuestro documento junto a la capa creada a partir de la selección.

Debemos guardar la selección de nuestra imagen la necesitaremos mas adelante, una vez que hayamos borrado la capa original de fondo, hacemos clic en la miniatura de la capa 1 mientras presionamos la tecla Ctrl, luego en Selección (panel principal de arriba) > Guardar selección, colocamos un nombre provisional y listo, ya estamos preparados para comenzar el tutorial que nos trae hasta acá el día de hoy.

I repeat, if we are going to use the background I recommend to create a new document to perform the effect, if we do not plan to use it we discard it without any remorse. Here we can see the original layer of our document next to the layer created from the selection.

We must save the selection of our image we will need it later, once we have deleted the original background layer, we click on the thumbnail of layer 1 while pressing the Ctrl key, then in Selection (main panel above) > Save selection, we place a temporary name and ready, we are ready to begin the tutorial that brings us here today.

Cómo Crear la Ilustración / Creating Illustration

Paso 1
Lo primero que vamos a hacer es acoplar nuestra imagen, esto significa que le colocaremos un fondo blanco, pero esto lo haremos mediante una herramienta del programa, clic con el botón derecho sobre la capa 1 en el panel de capas, y seleccionar la opción de "Acoplar imagen".

The first thing we are going to do is to flatten our image, this means that we will place a white background, but we will do this using a tool of the program, right click on layer 1 in the layers panel, and select the "Flatten image" option.

Paso 2
Una vez hecho esto vamos a crear una capa nueva: Capa > Nueva > Capa vía copiar. Esto haré una copia de nuestra capa a la que le vamos a realizar los siguientes ajustes:

Once this is done we will create a new layer: Layer > New > Layer via copy. This will make a copy of our layer to which we will make the following adjustments:

Ve a Imagen > Ajustes > Sombras/Iluminaciones, y establece las Sombras en 10% e Iluminaciones en 2%

Go to Image > Adjustments > Shadows/Highlights, and set Shadows to 10% and Highlights to 2%.

Paso 3

Repetimos el procedimiento de crear una nueva capa a partir de la anterior, simplemente presionamos Ctrl+J o como ya hicimos antes también, Capa > Nueva > Capa vía copiar.

Y con esta nueva capa seleccionada, vamos a la Galería de filtros a Filtro > Enfocar > Enfocar y aplicamos el filtro dos veces, no te preocupes si algunos elementos de la imagen quedan extraños, estos efectos se diluirán con los modos de fusión y otros efectos.

We repeat the procedure of creating a new layer from the previous one, simply press Ctrl+J or as we did before also, Layer > New > Layer via copy.

And with this new layer selected, we go to the Filter Gallery to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen and apply the filter twice, don't worry if some elements of the image look strange, these effects will be diluted with blending modes and other effects.

Paso 4

Vamos a cambiar el modo de fusión a Luz suave, la opciones de fusión las encontramos en el panel de capas y procedemos a aplicar el siguiente efecto: a Filtro > Otro > Paso Alto y establece el Radio en 1.5 px, la idea con esto es establecer una apariencia dibujada a nuestro modelo.

Let's change the blending mode to Soft Light, the blending options can be found in the layers panel and proceed to apply the following effect: to Filter > Other > High Pass and set the Radius to 1.5 px, the idea with this is to establish a drawn look to our model.

Paso 5

Vamos a seleccionar las dos capas de arriba y la vamos a unir en una sola capa haciendo clic en ambas capas con la tecla Ctrl presionada, luego clic botón derecho en alguna de las dos capas y hacer clic en la opción "Combinar capas".

Ahora vamos a Filtro > Estilizar > Difusión y establece el Modo en Anisotrópico.

Let's select the two layers above and merge them into a single layer by clicking on both layers with the Ctrl key pressed, then right click on one of the two layers and click on the "Merge Layers" option.

Now go to Filter > Stylize > Diffuse and set the Mode to Anisotropic.

Paso 6

Ahora en Edición > Transformar > Rotar 90° AC para rotar ésta capa 90° en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj, y luego presiona Ctrl+F en tu teclado para repetir el filtro previo.

Now go to Edit > Transform > Rotate 90° AC to rotate this layer 90° clockwise, and then press Ctrl+F on your keyboard to repeat the previous filter.

Volvemos a Edición > Transformar > Rotar 90° AC para rotar ésta capa otros 90° en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj y luego presiona Ctrl+F para repetir de nuevo el filtro anterior. Luego de esto volvemos a transformar para devolverlo a la posición inicial, Edición > Transformar > Rotar 180°.

We go back to Edit > Transform > Rotate 90° AC to rotate this layer another 90° clockwise and then press Ctrl+F to repeat the previous filter again. After this we transform again to return it to the initial position, Edit > Transform > Rotate 180°.

Paso 7

Nuestra imagen está lista, solo nos falta acoplar la imagen, ya vimos que al hacer clic con el botón derecho en alguna capa nos aparecen algunas opciones de como tratar la imagen, le damos clic a "Acoplar imagen",

Ahora volvamos a recortar la imagen, lo que será muy sencillo ya que tenemos guardada la selección, ahora vamos a Selección > Cargar selección > le damos clic al nombre que le pusimos provisionalmente a la selección, invertimos la selección y borramos, nuevamente el fondo. Ya tienen una imagen sin fondo, con un lindo efecto que pueden colocar sobre cualquier fondo.

Our image is ready, we only need to flatten the image, we have already seen that when we right click on a layer we have some options of how to treat the image, we click on "Flatten image",

Now let's go back to crop the image, which will be very simple since we have saved the selection, now go to Selection > Load selection > click on the name that we put provisionally to the selection, invert the selection and delete, again the background. Now you have an image without background, with a nice effect that you can place on any background.

Acá les dejo el resultado comparado con la imagen original / Here is the result compared to the original image::

En el caso de el resultado que obtuve, se debe a que apliqué el efecto dos veces seguidas, gracias a que tengo automatizado el proceso en un solo clic en el panel de Acciones de photoshop, que ya les enseñaré a automatizar acciones en otra oportunidad.

In the case of the result I got, it is because I applied the effect twice in a row, thanks to the fact that I have automated the process in a single click in the Actions panel of photoshop, which I will show you how to automate actions in another opportunity.
