Greetings dear Hive readers. I am glad to be here again in this community and I want to tell you about something that is important, the new opportunities. That is why you should always maintain the best attitude so that when it appears you can take advantage of it, leave your mind open. I am convinced that many of you have gone through the same thing, perhaps it has not gone the same way. Here I leave you my experience.
My professional career lasted exactly 21 years, 9 as a specialist in primary education, 9 in a coordination and 3 in other functions. I worked from the second stage of primary school to University Education, I never wanted to work with the little ones, in the preschool stage. Meanwhile, I also set aside some time to continue studying. Thus I achieved a specialization in Educational Planning and Supervision and, later, a Master's Degree in Educational Management.
I started my retirement process in May 2021, very disappointed among other things with my income, and in November of that same year I achieved it. I thought I had finished my time in teaching but no, I was just beginning a new and very different experience.
By recommendation of an old friend, they called me from a private school to work as a specialist English teacher and in the preschool stage no less. I was on the verge of refusing, it should be noted that I have never worked at that level and the demands in private schools are much higher. I was very honest with my boss in that sense, as well as making it clear to her that I was very willing to work and learn whatever was necessary. They offered me a good salary and other benefits that made me think about it, but I finally accepted.
The change was radical, it affected me a lot and it was difficult for me to assimilate the differences. What motivated me, in addition to income, were the conditions of the school, in terms of my role specifically. So I made the firm decision to continue, with a lot of effort and determination to do exactly the job for which I was hired, for myself and my family.
Shortly after, I realized how lucky I was, and now I confirm it, I am very lucky to have found a good job, where I have learned a lot, I have met very good people as professionals and as human beings. Needless to say, the children who give me so much every day, their hugs, their laughter, their jokes and a lot of affection.
De no haber aprovechado es buena opci贸n, no habr铆a logrado varias cosas que he disfrutado much铆simo y me han colocado en una situaci贸n m谩s c贸moda.
If I had not taken advantage of this good option, I would not have achieved several things that I have enjoyed very much and that have put me in a more comfortable situation. Not all of us do the same, in my case, when I thought I was coming to the end of my teaching career, but it turned out to be a new beginning. According to this experience, I suggest that you do not close yourself to the unknown, it is not always bad, leave the door and your mind open.
