The freedom of speech can not be limited. It's the biggest mistake we ever are going to make if we allow that to happen.
You may or may not agree with me, that's your right to have a different opinion than me, and I'm perfectly fine with that.
You see, that's how it works. You can say what's on your mind, and I should be able to say what's on mine.
As soon as we stop allowing people to speak their opinions we are creating a grey zone. For we Always Judge, that's who we are. We Judge everything and everyone, it's nature.
If one is not allowed to speak their mind, we are making it go away like it isn't there. By silenzing we are not deleting, we just shut the mouth, not the thoughts.
Let's just assume that I hate black people, and I say that, the first thing that happens is that people will correct me, if I'm Lucky. Some want to beat the shit out of me or even kill me for having that opinion. So saying it, is a risk. Now I don't say it, but I think it. The problem is gone now? No, off course not. I still hate black poeple, you just don't know that I do.
The risk is that I, because I have to keep my mouth shut, I will give my hate the chance to grow.
Wheter you like it or not, I have the right to have that opinion, and you should be glad to know that opinion, cause now you know, I won't be your favourite person, unless you agree with me, which I assume you are not. If you gree with my opinion, I advice you to see how many brave firemen there are who are taking the risk of losing their lives by rescuing people no matter what color they have.
I just have to agree to disagree. By silenzing I'm taking a huge risk that the anger and hate get to a boiling point where it has to come out at the moment a gun is within reach. I will catch you off guard. You didn't want to hear my opinion, you haven't got the slightest idea of my true thoughts.
See the danger now?
Stop listening to your own voice. Learning starts with listening to someone elses voice, wheter he's right, or wrong in your opinion. Give it a chance, you might learn something about things you weren't aware of...?
