Greetings to everyone in the lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share a new chapter in my life. This time, I want to show you what the event dedicated to International Dance Day (celebrated on April 29) was like; it took place on Friday, April 24, at the school where I work. I love all these activities: music, dance, theater, and more. So whenever there’s a special occasion or a chance to do so, I attend. Also because my colleagues, teachers Anna and Gabriela, who are in charge of the ballet and dance classes, worked very hard on this, so it’s important to support their efforts. The genres included ballet, contemporary dance, and flamenco. There’s probably another distinction, but I wouldn’t dare name it without knowing for sure.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno para acá para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión les quiero mostrar lo que fue el evento dedicado al Día Internacional de la Danza (que se celebra el 29 de abril) y que tuvo lugar el viernes 24 de abril, en el colegio en el cual laboro. A mí me encantan todas estas actividades: música, danza, teatro y demás. Por lo cual cada que llega una efeméride o un momento que lo permita, yo asisto a ello. También porque mis colegas, la profesoras Anna y Gabriela, que son las encargadas de llevar las clases de Ballet y Danza, estuvieron trabajando muy duro en ello así que es importante apoyar esa labor. Entre los géneros hubo: ballet, danza contemporánea y flamenco. Seguramente habrá una distinción más en ello, pero no me atrevo a darle nombre sin saberlo.
In addition, several of my students who take the drawing workshop were participating in this event. One in particular made her debut with a drum dance. It was lovely to see them all because it’s something different from what I usually see compared to when they’re drawing or painting in the classroom. Even though both are arts. They looked very happy showing their dances to the audience (full of parents, teachers, and students). They spent weeks practicing, coming and running back and forth to be ready for that moment. Honestly, all the dances were really good, and you could tell because the students cheered at the end of each one. It fills me with pride to see this side of my students and, in general, of all the kids who participated. And, of course, the teachers’ hard work. Además, varias de mis estudiantes que cursan el taller de dibujo participarían en este evento. Una en particular tuvo su debut con un baile de tambor. Fue muy bonito verlas a todas porque es algo diferente a lo que suelo ver en comparación de cuando dibujan o pintan en el aula. Aunque ambas sean artes. Se veían muy contentas mostrando al público (lleno de papas, profesores y estudiantes) sus danzas. Ellas estuvieron semanas practicando, viniendo y corriendo de aquí para allá para poder lograr estar listas para ese momento. La verdad todos los bailes estuvieron muy buenos y eso se nota porque además los estudiantes aclamaban al final de cada baile. Me llena de orgullo ver este perfil de mis esudiantes y en general, de todos los muchachos que participaron. Y por supuesto, del trabajo de las profesoras.
