Hello to everyone in the Alien Art community! This is the first time I'm posting here and I'm happy to do it with this digital painting that I made today in the Pixel Studio application, a program to paint under the Pixel Art style, which is the style that represents me. So today I show you how was the process of making this work. Let's start with it!
I wanted to make a landscape that was inspired by one of my all time favorite video games, Harvest Town, made by AVIDGamers. I took as reference the beach that is available on the game map, where the scenery is usually changing due to the seasons of the year. For this landscape, autumn is the one reflected in the atmosphere. With equal pastel tones that soften the image a bit. However, the use of yellow and violet colors generate a strange and unusual aesthetic that seems to be from another planet and even with that, it still looks homey and familiar to us.

Está es la primera vez que publico por aquí y me alegra poder hacerlo con esta pintura digital que realice hoy en la aplicación Pixel Studio, un programa para pintar bajo el estilo del Pixel Art. Que es el estilo que me representa. Entonces hoy les muestro como fue el proceso de realización de este trabajo ¡Comencemos con ello!
Quise realizar un paisaje que estuviera inspirado en uno de mis videojuegos favoritos de siempre, Harvest Town, realizado por AVIDGamers. Tome de referencia la playa que está disponible en el mapa del juego, dónde el escenario suele ser cambiante debido a las estaciones del año. Para este paisaje, el otoño es el que se refleja en la atmósfera. Con tonos igual pasteles que suavizan un poco la imagen. Sin embargo, el uso de los colores amarillo y violeta generan una estética extraña y poco usual que parece ser de otro planeta y aún con ello, no deja de lucir hogareño y conocido para nosotros.
To make this landscape the first thing I did was to open a 120x70 px format. Taking advantage of the dimension and the horizontal direction. The first two layers correspond to the division of the sea and the land, with violet and yellow tones. The perspective is that of a slightly swooping plane, as if we were observing from above and in the distance, the landscape.
Para realizar este paisaje lo primero que hice fue abrir un formato de 120x70 px. Obteniendo ventaja de la dimensión y la dirección horizontal. Las primeras dos capas corresponden a la división del mar y la tierra, con tonos violeta y amarillos. La perspectiva es la de un plano ligeramente en picada, como si estuviéramos observando desde arriba y a lo lejos, el paisaje.
The second thing I did with the next two layers were the details of the water in movement, the lights and shadows of the sea, as well as those of the sand. Adding finally a clump of land where a small bush of flowers will go. The colors used here range from oranges, ochers, reds and yellows for the vegetation and violets, pinks and yellows for the sea. Giving a little more life to the landscape. I love working with violet and yellow, they generate a very attractive contrast.
Lo segundo que realice con las siguientes dos capas fueron los detalles del agua en movimiento, las luces y sombras del mar, así como las de la arena. Añadiendo por fin un tumulto de tierra que es donde irá un pequeño arbusto de flores. Los colores utilizados aquí van desde los naranjas, ocres, rojos y amarillos para la vegetación y violetas, rosas y amarillos para el mar. Otorgando un poco más de vida al paisaje. Me encanta trabajar con el violeta y el amarillo, generan un contraste muy atractivo.
Then I added in the penultimate layer the small bush. I only gave some minor details because I needed to apply movement and for that I used a second layer which is where I added some banana leaves that will also have movement. I leave the two images so you can see better each stage. The challenge here is to give movement and make it look organic. I only gave movement to the water, the vegetation and a little bit of brightness or lights to the sand. This way I obtained the GIF with only five frames and selected the image you will see below. Now completely finished.
Después he añadido en la penúltima capa el pequeño arbusto. Solo otorgue algunos detalles menores porque necesitaba aplicar movimento y para ello utilice una segunda capa que es donde añadí algunas hojas de plátano que también tendrán movimiento. Dejo las dos imágenes para que observen mejor cada etapa. El reto aquí es poder darle movimiento y que se vea orgánico. Solo otorgue movimiento al agua, la vegetación y un poco de brillo o luces a la arena. De esta forma obtuve el GIF con tan solo cinco frames y selecciona la imagen que verán a continuación. Ya totalmente finalizado.

As you can see it looks pretty good or at least I like the final result because I feel it does justice to the beaches of the game.
