Happy Friday from Carol!
I was out of town for two days on a sudden trip to Minneapolis, where my sister was at death's door, and the whole family was summoned for what could be the final visit. Having us all there, however, seemed to penetrate her unconsious body and bring her back. We are grateful she is breathing on her own again, talking again, aware and interacting and somehow surviving kidney failure. I was her bone marrow donor for leukemia 24 years ago and it is a miracle she she is still here at all. Sheer willpower keeps her with us. Long, long story. Here is a glimpse:
My internet is Even Slower than Usual today,
and I wait a whole minute after clicking on a link for it to open so I can copy/paste/hyperlink and all.

.
Her writeup had me intrigued right at the beginning. The description of the ethereal something we all have a love/hate relationship with had me puzzled and curious. All will be revealed at the end and then you will understand perfectly and wonder why you hadn’t figured it out sooner. :)
An intriguing tale of living in a labor camp with descriptions of the hardships of hungry and fear of punishment. The lack of any type of hygiene available for herself was brought forward by the sweat and grime on the now speechless Bert. It’s definitely a writeup that leaves you wanting more of the story.
My first recommendation is written by

It reminds me of the plague I had for years in my hallway. She used the prompt slug and it is a #weekendfreewrite with a single prompt and a #freewritepoetry as well!
Everything you like to know about slugs she tells you in a few sentences. I couldn't help 😁 and no, I do not feel pity for the males, after all, if mating is not necessary who needs a penis? Might be she is right and this is the fate of the lettuce thieves! You are warned!

My 2nd recommendation.
I love this one, it made me laugh and as you all know that is not an easy thing to do. 😛 I am talking about a weekendfreewrite, #taeglicheseinneuesthema, written in German by
The story tells about a warrior standing in front of the church. He drank the "Schnapps" he found in a hole next to a house that was demolished by mistake... how the story goes on you can read yourself (or translate it. It is a small thing to do and highly appreciated).

My 3rd recommendation is a #weekendfreewrite again and written by .
I am not sure about what to think about the book Steve recommended to Claire. It sounds boring to me too. I doubt if I would recommend it to impress someone. Steve has less luck. The buss didn't crash so he has to discuss it with Clair. She is intelligent and he tries to sound intelligent as well... 😅

My recommendation is a three-prompt #weekendfreewrite by
. Pelicans, a son moving to Maine, and a free pen -- what in the world can you do with that in 15 minutes of writing or so? Check this story out and marvel at how a contemplation of nature becomes a jet tour of one family's long tragedy, with an ending that will make your heart skip a beat. You will read this AT LEAST twice, and it will get better EVERY TIME. https://steemit.com/freewrite/@deeanndmathews/day-565-5-minute-freewrite-wednesday-prompt-delegation
Team, Kindly find my words towards the below blog post which is shared by

Whenever we want to book a hotel then many of us think from all point of view to make a Economical Deal. And one point we always keep in mind and that is effective Room Service because that brings the true welcoming essence.
I have two favorites this week:
First is from . I am so fascinated by her tales of life while fishing. But in this freewrite it is also about bugs. Big awful looking bugs swarming and posing for the camera. I guess if you work outside there is no avoiding them!
And I really like this post by . The focus is on a photographic mystery with a lawn chair in the snow and we get no resolution at all. Very intriguing, and I hope the story continues.
I ran across this #freewrite from on the prompt, room service last night. He tells about a road trip that he made in his Pontiac Fiero with his gear strapped to the top of his car. It reminded me of the movie with Chevy Chase heading to an amusement park with his family.
stayed at a really nice hotel right on the water and you'll have to read his post to
find out about his future vacation plans. 👍👍
really did a nice job on this one. I like how it flows and her verbiage. The pictures add a nice artisan touch. Great one!

I love reading
's freewrites. They've gotten very very good at giving us a last luscious wrap-the-whole-thing-up line. I don't know much of anything about their lifestyle except what they have told us, and I am loving the look into a commercial fisherperson's life. This one is especially good

And then there's old reliably good
. This one sure did not disappoint, and I didn't have to read 37 entries to catch up on what is with the slugs:

Both of the characters endure as much as they can of a random book just to impress the other - so common! Excellent use of the difficult prompts.
I have a soft spot for the march madness writers, all of them, even the ones who didn't finish. I followed
's story avidly but alas, she wasn't happy with her work and abandoned the story mid-month. I am so happy to see she has started it over with this entry.
Hip hip hooray for tenacity!

I am sorry to have missed the deadline but I had a migraine, and I am here to support you with an upvote. I was also going to recommend
's freewrite using the prompt, global because it is something that everyone should read. He talks about how the
is a global community and in his words, "how you can foster creativity in the rawest form here on Steem." I love that because I too believe that freewriting is creativity in its rawest form. He also talks about what he is doing to #growthefreewritehouse, what others are doing and how you can help. He calls it a community, but I like to call the
family. I would like to send thanks and love to
and everyone for helping this family grow.
continues to impress me and entertain me and horrify me, reliably, with every new story she spins. This one may be salvaged from March Madness, and it goes to show that a freewrite is never wasted--it may evolve, transform, get edited and revised, but wasted? Never. I love
's wit and imagination.
