Grumpy Cat (real name "Tardar Sauce") has died
at age seven, and her owners are joined by mourners the world over. One tiny furball, one wee cat, and this little life is missed by millions. Such is the power of the cat. I do not question the quantity of attention this one cat has gotten. I'm amazed by it, but encouraged. It is not a good thing that the cat has died, but it's a good sign that we humans can be so moved by such a small creature.
Then again, the power of cats over us might be cause for alarm,
but I'm not going there today.
Ten years ago our daughter was an adolescent and Bailey was alive.
When we got our first pair of collie puppies, Mariel was eye-level with teeth for quite a while. She wasn't even in kindergarten at the time.
Now the second pair of collies, Prince and Bear, are three years old and competing for Master's attention.
Our daughter has declared herself a cat person.
She actually prefers Bobi the Bad, Bob-Rotten, evil feline among us, to our dear dogs!
