Would you please read my story and find out how I discovered Steemit? Do you think that you may want to learn how to use Steemit yourself?
While taking a Udemy course from Grumo, Miguel mentioned Jerry Banfield. Miguel said, "you should check out this guy." I did. I don't know how Miguel and Jerry knew each other. but I suspect through a connection on Udemy, since both of them were instructors there.
So, I checked out Jerry Banfield.com and found Jerry to be a bold and amusing personality that I liked. While following Jerry around YouTube, I discovered Steemit. Since I love blogging and posting, I became interested in getting paid for my efforts. I signed up with Steemit in June of 2017. I made 2 or 3 hundred posts while spending my time learning the platform. But posting my content on Flipboard, Steemit and Vocal.media, I could see the potential. Steemit's cryptocurrency is Steem.
I worked on Steemit for about 6 weeks posting, commenting and meeting new people. I'm a Louisiana educator. Since school started back for me in late July, I needed to focus on my new job. I placed Steemit and my other blogging adventures on hold.!

After a few weeks went by, I started back posting on Steemit, but not making very much money, I became discouraged. I knew that I was doing something wrong.
So, I started researching and realized that I hadn't made a post about myself.
Umm, I said to myself, back up and do it right. Here I am on this Saturday morning, April 7, 2018 writing about myself. and how I see the future of Steemit in the digital world.
I have a good feeling about the future of steemit. The more I read and study about the blockchain technology, I can see the power of Steemit.
There's no human or organization that could cause the Steemit platform to fail. Yet, the scam bots could wreck havoc for us all. But if you're cautious with the links that you click on, then your account should be safe.
Here's another thing that I want to mention...digital currency. The Internet, helps people shop and make purchases all over the world. It makes good sense to use digital coins to pay for purchases online without having to think about "your" currency exchange.
This is a growing sharing community. To be successful here, you must like writing. It's not a get rich quick overnight thing. You will need patience, organization and persistence to succeed. But, after you figure out how to manage your time on Steemit, soon you will become addicted to it.
This social media has over 2 million followers worldwide and is growing daily.
The more people who join Steemit and provide good content, the more prosperous we will all become. Three days ago on Steemit, there were 179,611 new posts uploaded. How wonderful is that?

If you decide to become a part of the Steemit community, I would tell you to be patient getting started. It can take up to a week sometimes to open an account where you will be given 4 keys. The keys cannot be recovered if you lose them, so please be mindful of this.
