There was a time in my life where I did nothing but hanging on my couch, eating fast food, had no energy to move... don't even think about workouts. But at some point, I managed to get out of this black hole. And in this post I tell you how.
I mean, I totally get it, when you are a 'lazy pancake' (this is how I call my past-me, because my face looked a bit chubby and round... like a pancake).
The hardest part is to actually get started.
I know that. And I understand that. Many people make the mistake when they start to get (back) in shape that they want too much too early. Some start a highly restricted diet, usually paired with a 6-days-a-week workout plan and so on... I have been there and done that.
But I have to dissapoint you:
when you are a lazy pancake, you will most likely give up after short time. It needs a few weeks to build a habit and if your try to turn your life around 180° in one day and try to change your complete lifestyle, going from 0 to 100 in one day, you will probably give up before you actually started or started seeing results.
(...and return to the lazy pancake life;)
So, my advice to you is:
Start easy. Set yourself small goals and start investing only 5 minutes a day. This is how I did it. I linked my first ever YouTube video at the bottom of this post, where I tell you a bit more about my story and how I got started.
Only 5 minutes a day started changing my mindset. I started seeing results after 2-3 weeks only. I did not change anything in my diet, I still ate everything I want. At some point these 5 minutes weren't enough and the first results motivated me. I signed up for a gym... and this is how my fitness journey started.
You ma not believe it, but I did not only start changing my body. My whole mindset changed. Eventually, I had the motivation to be more active every day.
The more I worked out, the more aware I became of proper nutrition. Eating food that helps my body recover from exhausting workouts. Exploring new recipes.
I became a healthier person.
I lost weight without suffering.
I became happier and at ease with myself.
I developed a more structured approach to plan my days.
and so much more... the #lazypancakediaries will continue ;)
I hope you will follow along
